OMAHA, Neb. --
The Douglas County attorney said an investigation involving three Omaha police officers resulted in insufficient evidence to warrant filing any criminal charges.
The officers were placed on leave back in May 2010 after allegations of possible misconduct surfaced involving officers Kara Hindman, Steve Kult and Frank Platt.
Officials said the county attorney, the FBI and U.S. attorney's office looked into claims of improper possession of confiscated evidence but didn't find enough evidence to support them.
While the criminal investigation is complete, Hindman is still on leave as the internal investigation continues.
Kult has been allowed to return to full active duty. Platt retired from the force several months ago.
