FORT PIERCE, Fla. --

Police in Fort Pierce said a man was arrested after throwing a rock at a police car.

Officer Robert Jacques said he had pulled into a Circle K parking lot at 1701 Delaware Ave. to purchase a drink when the man threw a rock at his police cruiser.

The man, 59-year-old Clifton Bolden, told the officer that he hated police and wishes they would die, according to the arrest report.

Jacques said he found Bolden's pockets full of rocks and Bolden told him he was going to throw them at police Monday night. The report states that Bolden was homeless.

Bolden was arrested and charged with disorderly intoxication, assault on a police officer, firing a weapon or missile at an occupied vehicle and threat on a public servant.

He was being held at the St. Lucie County Jail.
