Texas Motorcycle Officer Hurt in Collision

A police officer in Dickson was thrown off a motorcycle in a collision with a car. He was airlifted from the scene for treatment.

DICKINSON, Texas --

A police officer on a motorcycle was injured in a wreck on Wednesday.

Dickinson police said a car pulled out in front of the officer on F.M. 517 near Pabst Road shortly after 8 a.m.

The officer and car collided, and the officer was thrown off the motorcycle, police said.

Detectives said the officer was knocked unconscious, but later regained consciousness.

The officer was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital. His condition was not released.

No charges have been filed.
