MADISON, Wis. --
A disabled woman from Madison was cited Monday for using her car to help her take her dog for a walk.
Police saw a little white dog without a leash in front of a car in the 2100 block of East Mifflin Street on Monday afternoon. An officer said that when he saw this, he remembered some neighbors complaining about a woman who lets her dog stroll freely, while she trails behind with her car.
Madison police said the officer pulled her over. The woman explained she is disabled, and that is why she walks her dog while driving.
However, the officer explained that she must find another way to exercise her canine. He suggested putting up a fence, and then issued a citation for permitting a dog to run at large.
