A 45-year-old Wyandanch man died early Saturday after suffering cardiac arrest following a struggle with police officers who arrested him for disorderly conduct.

April 02--A 45-year-old Wyandanch man died early Saturday after suffering cardiac arrest following a struggle with police officers who arrested him for disorderly conduct, Suffolk County police said.

Willie Jackson, of South 33rd Street, died while being taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip by the Wyandanch-Wheatley Heights Ambulance Corps, police said.

He was pronounced dead at 1:40 a.m.

Police homicide detectives were investigating Jackson's death.

A 911 caller reported an intoxicated man who refused to leave the Peace Makers Motorcycle Club, at 1575 Straight Path, Wyandanch, at about 12:45 a.m., police said.

Officers arrived and tried to arrest Jackson for disorderly conduct.

But Jackson resisted and struggled with officers before he was arrested, police said.
