Ky. Trooper Hit by Ambulance at Crash Scene

RICHMOND, Ky. -- Kentucky State Police are on the scene of a fatal crash at the Madison-Estill county line on Hwy. 52.

Two vehicles collided and one driver was killed. Police say the driver may have fallen asleep.

A KSP trooper who was assisting at the scene also was injured when he was struck by an ambulance.

The road was closed for a few hours but has reopened.
