A Vallejo Police officer was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries after he was attacked following a hit-and-run vehicle accident about 1:12 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Locust Drive, Lt. Lee Horton said.

Police arrested the driver, Jacey Lasky, 25, of Vallejo, and passenger Avinia Rucker, 24, of Vallejo on suspicion of resisting arrest.

Lasky also was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run, Horton said.

The nature of the officer's injuries was not divulged, and details of the accident were not immediately available.

Another officer also was attacked during the confrontation but was not injured.
