MANCHESTER, N.H. --

A state police trooper was taken to the hospital late Friday afternoon after his car rolled over three to four times on Interstate 93 as he attempted to chase down a dangerous driver.

Police said Bruce Laroche had received complaints about an early 2000’s midnight blue Chevy Impala that was driving dangerously on the road. He got out of his car and tried to wave down the driver, who started to slow down but then sped off -- getting off at exit 22.

Laroche jumped into his car to follow but failed to negotiate the turn. The car rolled over, landing on its roof. Exit 22 on the southbound side was closed down for a time but has since reopened.

The driver of the Impala was described as a white, middle-aged, heavy-set man with dark brown hair and a beard.

Laroche was taken to Franklin Regional Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police.
