Off-Duty Pa. Officer Kills Self After Crash
LOWER SWATARA TOWNSHIP, Pa. --
Highspire police said a part-time officer took his own life following a car crash Sunday night.
James Wilson was a part-time Highspire police officer.
Wilson was off duty when witnesses say he crashed his jeep on South Eisenhower Boulevard, rolling it onto its roof.
Wilson survived the crash but then shot himself, police said.
He was in the National Guard and recently returned home from Afghanistan.
