Counter Ambush Tactics for Law Enforcement

Law enforcement officers south of the border have suffered heavy losses due to ambush tactics by drug cartels. As the violence moves north of the border, United States law enforcement needs to be prepared to defend against these types of threats. Domestically, the Department of Justice reported that 73% of American officer's feloniously killed in 2011 were ambushed or “surprise” attacked (USA Today, 2011). This course will teach students offensive action and aggressive response to LE ambushes. ATG will also focus on dynamic counter tactics and pushing the fight to them.
