This eight hour class is essential for every police officer, detective and correctional officer who investigates criminal activity within their daily duties. This instruction will provide the student with a wider perspective on the importance of a proper interview and/or interrogation. It will prepare the student on how to identify characteristics of deception, obtain critical information using proper interview techniques and prepare this information in a court of law. This course will be given through classroom lecture, using PowerPoint presentation, discussing real life scenarios, videos and class discussion. This training is extremely valuable, as interviews are conducted on a daily basis within the field of law enforcement. As with other perishable skills, interview and interrogation skills need to be maintained.
