PATROL RESPONSE TO OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING

This course is designed for the Patrol Officer responding to and/or having been involved in an officer involved shooting. The procedures for response, officer safety, scene security, caring for the involved officer(s), notifications, documentation and the criminal/administrative investigations connected to them will be covered. The dynamics of certain officer involved shootings will be analyzed, as will the physiological changes that occur with involved officers during a lethal force encounter.
