Course Overview Role of the Law Enforcement Investigator Investigation Types - Criminal, Civil and Internal Interviews and Statements Day 2 - Crime Scene Management, Physical Evidence Collection and Evidence Room Management Day 3 - Plain Clothes Equipment and Officer Survival Arrest Techniques Control Tactics Firearms Day 4 - Ops Plans Surveillance Operations Informants Controlled Purchases / Undercover Operations Search / Arrest Warrants and Subpoenas Day 5 - Technical Investigations Prosecution Reports Courtroom Testimony Course Review/Evaluation/Graduation Students should dress comfortable for a classroom and practical settings. Pens and paper will be provided for this course. Students will need to bring the weapon and holster system they use while on plain cloths duty. Students will need 200 rounds of ammo.
