The Field Training Officer

This course is based upon the legally defendable and standardized training and evaluation process that was developed by the San Jose Police Department and is being used by agencies across the country. This is the training program recognized by the CALEA accreditation standards. You will learn about the FTO program structure, how to modify it, key elements, and documentation requirements. Remedial training action plans to address employee performance deficiencies will also be discussed.
