Ky. Man Says He's a Cop in Motorcyle Listing on eBay
BURLINGTON, Ky. --
The Boone County Sheriff's Office has accused a man of impersonating a peace officer because of something he did online.
The sheriff's office said William Cassidy, 46 of Burlington, listed a motorcycle for sale on eBay as a police seizure by his department.
During a recorded phone call by investigators, Cassidy told the operative he worked for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the sheriff's office said.
Cassidy was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with impersonating a peace officer. He was charged with forgery in Boone County in March.
