Watch Ceremony to Honor Fla. City's Fallen LE Officers

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the Fraternal Order of Police held its annual tribute to those law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.

A Florida sheriff's office and fraternal order of police honored its fallen officers Tuesday.

The ceremony by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 5-30, held the ceremony at the Fallen Officers Memorial Wall in front of the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, First Coast News reports. The memorial honors 63 Duval County law enforcement officers have died in the line of duty since 1840.

One new name was added to the wall for Tuesday's ceremony. Lt. Christopher Cunningham died Aug. 5, 2020, from complications of COVID-19.

The ceremony included a message by Sheriff Mike Williams, a rifle salute by the sheriff's office's honor guard, as well as a "missing man" flyover.
