It was a heartbreaking moment as police officers and sheriff's deputies stood shoulder to shoulder, showing their support for a 5 year old boy who was returning to school for the first time since his father was killed in the line of duty. Little Dakota's father, Rob Pitts, was a 16-year veteran of the Terre Haute, Indiana Police Department. On May 4th he was killed while investigating a homicide. When it was time to return to school after his dad's funeral, Dakota had a simple request.
