Puerto Rico Officer Killed in Motorcycle Crash
A Puerto Rico police officer died in a motorcycle crash while driving to work early Monday morning.
Lt. Waldemar Rivera Santiago was en route to the police station when his department motorcycle struck the rear of a truck carrying milk on PR-2 around 3:45 a.m., according to Primera Hora.
The 52-year-old officer was pronounced dead on the scene while the driver of the truck, identified as Rafael Miró Mora, was uninjured.
Rivera-Santiago, who served with the Puerto Rico Police Department for 30 years, is survived by his wife and six children.
The crash is currently under investigation.
