A Livingston, Tennessee police officer died after suffering a medical emergency in the line of duty.

Sgt. Sean Lewis Allred was pronounced dead on June 23 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville following the on-duty incident, according to The Herald-Citizen.

The 47-year-old was a 17-year veteran of the force and had just become a sergeant with the Livingston Police Department.

Allred is survived by his fiance, Allison Hamilton, his son, Bobby Allred, and his daughter, Jordan Allred.
