A memorial service for Sgt. Clinton J. Holtz -- who died on Jan. 17 -- is planned for Feb. 5 at the Riva Trace Baptist Church in Anne Arundel County, according to The Washington Post.

"I am overwhelmed by the countless stories shared with me that represent Sergeant Holtz as a true gentleman, wholly respected, loved and admired by his friends, family and colleagues for his kindness and work ethic.
"He was a highly respected man of exemplary character who made an indelible mark on the USCP and will truly be missed."
