Loved Ones Remember California Correction’s Officer Killed in Crash

Family, friends and law enforcement came together Wednesday to say goodbye to a San Joaquin County corrections officer. Sgt. Cesar Fuentes, 32, died in a crash on Jan. 12 near the county jail after getting off work. A driver made a U-turn and crashed into Fuentes’ motorcycle. On Wednesday, a procession went from Tracy to Turlock. At the memorial service, Fuentes’ boss, sister and a fellow deputy, who served with him in the marines, spoke.
