Austin Police Officers Change What They Do When Asking About Immigration

The Texas legislature told the Austin Police Department that officers could ask someone about their immigration status. Austin City Council told them -- if you do, you can't force an answer and you have to write a report about it. That city ordinance took effect Thursday.
