Speed Awareness Monitor II (SAM II)

Available from Precision Solar Controls (PSC), the Speed Awareness Monitor II (SAM II), speed awareness display system designed and manufactured to provide years of reliable operation with minimal maintenance. The SAM II includes a fixed speed limit sign and a large L.E.D. lamp matrix display that indicates a motorist’s speed with changeable 18-inch characters that are legible from 1,000 feet. The SAM II features a dedicated hand-held controller that provides programming and diagnostic functions. A 4D deep-cycle battery provides over 18 days of continuous operation. It also has an optional top-mounted solar panel that can recharge a day’s worth of battery use in 2.5 hours of sunlight. Featuring graffiti- and rust-resistant paint, the SAM II display system comes with a heavy-duty steel trailer that has four leveling jacks for proper placement and stability. The SAM II display system has optional features such as the axle lock, coupler lock, vandal deterrent motion sensor with an alarm, tongue wheel jack and tubeless traffic counter.
