Two officers were injured in a crash that ended a chase in Englewood early Thursday morning.
The Chicago police police department SUV and a four-door sedan it had been chasing both came to rest against a two-story Englewood home at the corner of 73rd and Morgan streets.
The car crashed coming around a corner and wedged between a porch and the house, pushing the entire porch a few feet north. The SUV came in behind it and wedged between the car and house.
The chase started with a shooting on 87th Street between Loomis Boulevard and Ada Street about 1:55 a.m. -- somone shot toward Golden Girls lounge and hit two cars parked out front.
Officers saw the shooting from the car and a chase ensued, police said.
Nobody else was injured but police found about a dozen casings at the scene.
Officers pursuing a car saw someone toss a gun out the window and the gun was later recovered,Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
A man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested after the chase but details about the pair weren't immediately available.
