Automatic Vehicle Identification System

Aug. 20, 2007
Improve response time with Reno A'E's Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) system. The AVI system allows for hands-free access into secured gated areas. Vehicles equipped with the low-frequency, digitally encoded AVI transmitter emit a short-range signal from the vehicle to the in-pavement loop located near a gate or barrier. When the transmitter is above the in-pavement loop, the signal is coupled to a Reno A'E AVI receiver, which is an auxiliary component of the gate operator equipment. Each vehicle equipped with an AVI transmitter will automatically open gates equipped with a Reno A'E AVI receiver, thus providing immediate access without delay. The AVI can be retrofitted into an existing gated location.
