LawBase HD is a flexible case management software that contains an underlying database that allows law enforcement end-users to store, view and track data, says Jeffrey Tefelske, vice president of sales and marketing. The fully adaptable, intuitive system allows agencies and individuals to use their own vocabulary, organization style and presentation. Some of the features included in this secure system are: SmartFolders (users can automatically group files, etc. however they want); Case Notes (allows for quick, easy tracking of activity on a file); Docketing (users can track all appointments and tasks within LawBase and can interface with calendar applications like Outlook, Groupwise or Lotus Notes). The software's Conflicts tab easily performs conflict checks on specific dates; multiple times for these checks can be incorporated into the system. "When data is edited, such as a trial date, LawBase automatically send the updated trial date information to the police officer who must attend the hearing," says Tefelske, explaining one of the product features. "Crime victims can be notified of events in the same automatic manner [leading] to greater efficiency and improved customer service to the community."
