DAP Technologies expands its Microflex CE8800 series product range with the CE8820 mobile unit. The rugged handheld computer unit now includes increased memory capacity (512 MB), improved LCD display and keyboard control, and is equipped with an Intel Xscale 400 MHz processor. The CE8820 is ideal to support a variety of data management field requirements in many service sectors, including: transportation and delivery services; logistics; and emergency services, including fire, ambulance and police. Weighing only 2.6 pounds, the enhanced unit - as with the existing CE8800 series - runs the latest Windows CE .NET operating system from Microsoft, including an integrated voice communication system with fully supported recording and playback abilities. Its multiple interface capability, including Ethernet connectivity, USB port and IrDA, provides real-time access to critical information anytime, anywhere. Data-transfer ability reduces the need to duplicate work and increases employee productivity.
