Vuzix Corp. and distribution partner Six-15 Technologies have begun sales and marketing of the M100 Smart Glasses to Defense, Homeland Security and First Responder markets. Six-15 is Vuzix' exclusive distributor of Vuzix products into the defense, security and first responder markets globally and they will assist Vuzix in working with these customers in using the Vuzix M100 SDK (software developer kit).

The Vuzix M100 smart glasses are the world's first, commercially available, hands free display and wearable computer with cloud communications. The Vuzix M100 smart glasses contain a virtual display with integrated camera and powerful processing engine, running the Android OS.

As a hands free accessory with integrated camera/display functionality, Vuzix smart glasses enable communication applications for defense to first responders that enable streaming video to visual navigation via an integrated GPS and head tracking. The interactive head tracking and integrated HD camera, combined with applications on the M100 and a connection to the Cloud or in field network, empower hands free information access and augmented reality applications that connect the digital world to the real one.

Paul J. Travers, CEO of Vuzix, said, "We are very excited to be working with Six-15 to open up these markets to this amazing technology.  With the accelerating adoption of wearable cameras, computers and cloud connected devices the M100 is a perfect fit; from defense and law enforcement to first responders it can deliver many advanced applications that can't be enabled any other way."

Rich Ryan, CEO of Six-15, said, "Six-15 is committed to providing the best technology available to our discerning customers in the defense and first responder markets.  Working with Vuzix to introduce the M100 to these markets is core to this commitment.  It provides our defense customers with the technology to advance application development that enhances the safety and performance of our soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen and first responders.   We are excited to be working with Vuzix to deliver these capabilities."
