The MAXRAD BMEFC49005 is an elevated feed, mobile data antenna designed to operate in the 4.9 to 5.0 GHz Public Safety Band. It is ideal for installations requiring elevation of the antenna over surrounding objects that could prevent true omnidirectional coverage - such as ambulances and police or other public safety vehicles with roof-top light bars. This new antenna provides 5.5 dBi of gain and operates both on and off a ground plane, without degradation in VSWR performance.
