Intelect Technologies introduces the ST2800 Quick Deployable Emergency Integrated Communications System (EICS). Using VolP technology, EICS places disparate communications systems on a common IP network for integration. One of the key elements of the EICS is the ST2800 Radio Gateway that facilitates the realization of Radio over IP (RolP). It serves as the gateway for various radio types (VHF, UNF, HF) to convert audio and signaling to IP packets that allow the radio resources to be made available on the IP network. The EICS is a self-contained unit housed in a ruggedized portable casing or installed in a 19-inch rack on a mobile vehicle platform.
