April 5, 2024
At least five rocks thrown by a vandal from the middle of the street smashed the glass front doors of an NYPD stationhouse in Midtown Manhattan.

A vandal hurled rocks at a Midtown NYPD stationhouse early Thursday, smashing the glass front doors, police said.

The man threw the stones from the middle of E. 35th St. near Eighth Ave. toward the Midtown South Precinct stationhouse about 7:40 a.m.

At least five rocks blew holes through the glass doors, which were left spiderwebbed.

The vandal, who was wearing a coat, brown-hoodie and blue jeans, ran off down W. 35th St., cops said.

Cops at the stationhouse and those nearby on patrol went out searching for the suspect, who has not been caught.
