An “unexpected visitor” showed up at the Martin County Sheriff’s Office in Stuart, Florida — but not the human kind.
The sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post that the animal was first spotted wandering through the parking lot and then climbed a tree.

Pictures show the bear sitting among some branches.
It eventually left the area “peacefully,” and no arrests were made.
If you see a bear in a public place, call the FWC’s Wildlife Alert Hotline at 888-404-3922.
Earlier this month, an alligator entered the vehicle impound lot of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
