ORLANDO (Aug. 13, 2015) – Intrepid Networks, an Orlando-based company is pleased to announce the availability of an end–to-end Emergency Management solution with partners Incident Response Technologies and Sonim Technologies. The platform will be first demonstrated on the exhibit floor at the APCO2015 annual conference in Washington D.C. in the App Island and Booth 701. The system is the first to provide tailored mobile applications for law enforcement, fire services and EMS on ultra-ruggedized smartphones. The mobile units are integrated with a strategic level Command tool, which provides full ICS compliant reporting when the operation is complete. This innovation will allow an unparalleled level of Situational Awareness and Command/Control (C2) for First Responders both in the field and commanders within Command Posts, Operations Centers or the EoC.
“The availability of specific law enforcement, fire and EMS mobile applications operating on ultrarugged smartphones to an integrated STING® and Rhodium platform is a definite benefit to public safety,” said Britt Kane, CEO of Intrepid Networks. “Now all first responders will get a mobile application tailored to their individual roles in small or large incidents that provides shared situational awareness to everyone in the operation.”
An interface between the STING® Suite and Rhodium Incident Management Suite will allow incident command staff to meld critical information from all field units. This can include GPS tracking data, checklists and images taken from mobile devices. These assets combine the strategic capabilities of Rhodium and includes detailed map layering, pre-plan access and ICS form management. With the combined solution, an entire operation can be planned, managed and reported within a single platform to provide unmatched incident planning and management capabilities for public safety. Utilizing these applications on the ultra-rugged Sonim XP7 provides users unprecedented battery life and usability in the field no matter the environmental conditions, including full water immersion, resistance to drops and full sunlight visibility.
“Having visibility on the location of assets during emergency events is invaluable,” said Jarret Winkelman, IRT President. “By including the location of responders tracked by Intrepid’s STING® Tactical Suite on the Rhodium Incident Management map, incident command staff benefit from an increased level of situational awareness that encompasses the entire incident from the EOC level all the way down to the boots on the ground.”
The combined STING® and Rhodium integrated platform is available as either a low-cost cloud hosted solution requiring minimal IT support by public safety agencies or as an on premises server for departments who want more individual control of the applications and data. The Sonim XP7 device is available on major commercial cellular networks as well as providing compatibility with the emerging Band 14 FirstNet spectrum dedicated for first responders. This provides complete network flexibility for all the agencies using the STING/Rhodium solution on these devices.
