New IACP President Sworn In
LaGrange (Ga.) Police Chief Louis Dekmar was sworn in as the newest IACP president during the 2017 IACP Conference held in Philadelphia, Pa. Dekmar's law enforcement career spans 37 years, including 10 years as a Wyoming police officer and investigator and nearly 20 years in Georgia as a police officer, detective, division commander and police chief prior to assuming the position of chief of public safety for the city of LaGrange, Ga., in 1995, according to the IACP website. Dekmar proceeds past IACP President Donald W. De Lucca.
