Inmate Stabs Missouri Deputy in Back of Head
A Madison County Jail inmate is charged with attacking two jailers, including stabbing one in the back of the head with a pencil.
Justin S. Creasey, 28, of the 3500 block of Humphrey Street in St. Louis, was charged with two felony charges of aggravated battery on Thursday. Bond was set at $100,000. Before the new charges, Creasey was being held on motor vehicle theft charges. His bail at that time was $30,000.
Madison County sheriff's Capt. T. Mike Dixon said a jail deputy was conducting routine rounds when he saw paper covering the observation window into a cell occupied by Creasey at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The deputy ordered Creasey to remove the paper from the window but he didn't comply.
The deputy then requested assistance and deputies entered Creasey's cell. Creasey threw a cup of unknown liquid at the deputies. He then attacked the deputies and stabbed one in the back of the head with a pencil, authorities said.
Creasey grabbed a second deputy in a headlock, knocking his glasses off, and causing an abrasion to his face.
Deputies were able to subdue him and removed the paper from the window.
The deputy who was stabbed sustained a half inch long cut and was treated by the jail's medical staff.
