The B.O.S.S. II is a non-intrusive scanning system designed to detect concealed small weapons or contraband metal objects. High-precision, non-contact measurement sensors are housed in the frame of rugged Baltic Birch wood coated in RF resistant paint for improved EMI rejection. The sensors provide instantaneous, high sensitivity detection of most ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys. The B.O.S.S. II contributes to a safe environment for officers and inmates at correctional facilities preventing and deterring the entry of weapons such as razor blades, knives, shanks or other tools. Because the B.O.S.S. II allows for non-contact inspection, issues that can arise from more invasive searches are reduced.
