Officer Down: Agents Hernández-Cartagena, Salamán-Conde, Marrero-Díazof

 PUERTO RICO-Agent Eliezer Hernández-Cartagena of the Carolina Municipal Police Department, was murdered while trying to arrest a suspect. The suspect had murdered another agent, Agent Luis Marrero-Diazof of the Puerto Rico Police Department after he responded to a crash call. As he responded, a driver opened fire using an AK-47 rifle, shooting the officer. The suspect then took another car and fled. Officers responded to the pursuit. Once they were able to stop the driver, he opened fire fatally wounding another agent, Agent Salaman-Conde also of the  Carolin Municipal Police Department. During the incident he crashed into Agent Eliezer Hernandez-Cartagena. 

Agent Salaman-Conde was an officer for 30 years and Agent Luis Marrero-Diazof was an officer for 19 years.
