Allegro Industries offers the most complete line of cleaning, storage and testing accessories available for respirator users. Among the products included in this line are wall cases and storage bags, wipes, cleaning kits, and respirator fit test kits.
- Respirator Cleaning Pads (pictured) are individually packaged towelettes containing 70% Isopropanol and are designed for use on rubber respirator masks and other personal safety equipment. Alcohol Free Pads are available for use where a manufacturer recommends using non-alcohol cleaning wipes. These individually packaged towelettes contain Benzalkonium Chloride and will not harm even the most sensitive rubber masks. These alcohol and alcohol-free solutions are also available in large 8" x 11" towelettes called Big Ones. For full mask and half mask respirators, choose from either the Respirator Cleaning Kit with Dry Soap or the Cleaning Kit with Liquid Cleaner Concentrate. Both kits come with an air bulb, a large two-sided bucket, 100 sterile storage bags and seals, and a brush. Kits meet OSHA standards for respirator cleaning. For convenience the Respirator Cleaning Swabs are easy to use for cleaning full and half mask respirators as well as removing residues.
- Allegro offers a variety of wall-mounted cases to protect respirators and SCBA’s against harsh plant environments. Most models are made of corrosion-resistant ABS with ultraviolet inhibitors. They offer non-metal hinges and latches that prevent rust, and rubber door seals protect equipment from dust and moisture. The Hi-Viz Heavy Duty cases are rugged yet lightweight, and the hi-viz safety yellow or green color makes locating easy. The cases come in a variety of sizes and are recyclable. Generic Wall Cases are used for general storage and can be customized with a label kit. A heavy-duty metal case is also available.
- Wipe Downs are highly effective pre-moistened disinfectant towelettes in handy pop-up canisters. Wipe Downs for Equipment contain Benzalkonium Chloride to quickly clean respirators or other personal safety equipment.
- The Standard and Deluxe Pump Smoke Fit Test Kits includes all the material needed to perform OSHA-accepted qualitative fit tests for air purifying respirators. The Standard Banana Oil Kit provides a fast, safe and easy way to perform qualitative respirator fit testing. When activated, the ampules give off a non-irritating odor of banana oil (Iso Amyl Acetate). If the respirator wearer can smell the oil, the respirator should be adjusted or replaced. The kit, which includes all the equipment necessary to perform the test, is housed in a convenient storage case or pouch. Allegro introduced the first OSHA-compliant qualitative fit test for respirators that uses Bitrex™. OSHA has recognized Bitrex™ as an acceptable respirator fit testing agent, which demonstrates identical performance to saccharin-based fit tests. Allegro has added an easy-to-use disposable glass ampule applicator for their Bitrex™ fit test solution and sensitivity solutions. The single-use applicators are air tight and sealed to maintain the integrity of the solutions. The ampules make pouring into the nebulizer easier, minimizing spillage, and the chance of contamination. The Saccharin Fit Test Kit is also available.
- Spray Socks offer protection for the head from over spray and other particulates and are available in a handy dispenser or in bulk. Arm Socks are available in packs of 12 or a case of 144.
