Long Range Wireless: DWS-H and DWS-H/2

With the Vidisco DWS-H and DWS-H/2 the bomb tech can decide whether to use the robot just as a carrying mule for the inspection system, or to fully integrate the X-ray equipment into the robot communication system. The DWS-H and DWS-H/2 high power wireless units were developed to give a long range wireless solution. These units enable working with the portable Vidisco system in a wireless communication mode alongside the robot or as a standalone solution for long ranges. The DWS-H and DWS-H/2 set achieved a wireless communication distance of 750 m (line of sight). 1,500 meters of wireless communication in the field (line of sight) have been successfully achieved with two DWS-H units.
