In upstate New York, a Rochester police officer was wounded during a shootout with a homicide suspect.
Officials said that the incident began when Ralph Strong left his vehicle and was confronted by Sgt. Flamur Zenelovic before the two began shooting at each other.
The 10-year department veteran was shot several times in the upper body, but is expected to recover from his injuries.
