Marblehead, MA June 2017 – Located on Lake Anna in Virginia, the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Department provides on water enforcement and rescue operations along the lake’s 220 miles of shoreline. The 21’ RIBCRAFT will serve as a patrol boat for the Department, greatly expanding their response capabilities while providing a safe platform for interacting with recreational boaters.
RIBCRAFT worked with the Department to understand their operational requirements and built a boat that meets all their needs. The 6.5 features a center console with front bench seat, windscreen, and two side-by-side jockey style pod seats under the aluminum T-top to accommodate the 2-3 officers onboard during patrols. Powered by a 150HP Mercury, the RIB will reach speeds in excess of 45MPH while still providing unparalleled safety and unsurpassed performance.
