Ala. Sheriff's Deputy Critically Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash

It's unclear what led to the single-vehicle crash that sent Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy Jermyius Young to the hospital in critical condition.

A Montgomery County sheriff’s deputy was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash.

The wreck happened at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 4500 block of Hobbie Road, according to Sheriff Derrick Cunningham.

Deputy Jermyius Young was taken to Baptist Hospital South. His condition is critical.

Additional details about the crash have not yet been released.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is leading the investigation.
