tactical, SWAT and command center

The Westchester County Department of Corrections took delivery of a large capacity tactical, SWAT and command built by Odyssey Wharton, NJ. The unit is based on a 2008 GMC 5500 and features a custom 20' walk-in body. The well lit and insulated interior is outfitted with a formica work desk, heavy duty armory with a high security aluminum roll up door, weapons storage for small weapons, drawers and storage compartments for ammunition. Heavy duty shelves in a custom module store riot and deployment gear, while a multi-drawer handgun safe is immediately to the right of the front side door. Also features front and rear cameras with interior remote controls, satellite receiver for internet information, flat screen TV, DVR; as well as internal and external connections for cable, data, telco, and dcomputers. Power is provided an 8,000 watt diesel generator and shore power connections.
