Two Michigan police officers were shot Wednesday in an exchange of gunfire with a suspect, who also was wounded.
The shooting happened at about 11:15 a.m. when Lansing police detectives responded to a residence to investigate a previous crime, WILX-TV reports. While at the scene, detectives called for backup, and a shooting ensued, leaving two officers and the suspect wounded.
The officers and the suspect were rushed to the hospital, and their injuries weren't considered life-threatening. The suspect was arrested in the incident, and charges are pending.
The shooting is under investigation.
