To meet government standards, increase security in air transportation and discourage break-ins, Pelican Products, Inc. has added two extra locking points to the 1720 Weapons Cases.
Now with a total of four locking points (2 with stainless steel protector hasps and two without), the holes will accept standard padlocks or Pelican TSA accepted locks.
The 1720 case is an all-purpose, watertight case to fill law enforcement personnel's need for safe, reliable, mid-sized rifle and equipment protection. The 1720 houses most assault-type rifles, is fully stackable and fits easily into the trunk of most police cruiser units such as the Ford Crown Victoria. The 1720 from Pelican Products also features metal reinforced padlock protectors to defend against cutting and theft and the "Pick 'N' Pluck" customizable foam to protect weapons from moisture and damage. It is engineered with an open cell-core and solid wall construction and a "Dual Band" design. Interior dimensions measure 42 inches by 13 1/2 inches by 5 1/4 inches.
