The Snap Network is designed for rural outdoor deployments. It is lightweight, weatherproof, low power, and can be set up in less than an hour. Snap can be configured as a standalone system (network-in-a-box) or as part of a larger public or private network.
Snap is a GSM/GPRS network access point that allows cellular handsets to interface directly with VoIP networks.
Range Networks’ commercial open source software allows operators to reduce the cost and complexity of their mobile networks. The Snap is a complete RAN node with integrated radio resource control. In small networks, Snap can be used as a complete network in a box comprising both RAN and core network functions. To minimize operating costs, Snap processes local calls without the need for backhaul.
