Pryme’s WTX-500 Series Push-to Talk Adapters for two-way radios feature a QD (Quick Disconnect) jack that can be used in conjunction with any of Pryme’s audio accessories, such as speaker mics, throat mics, lapel mics and more. Public safety personnel can easily connect these devices to almost any major brand radio, allowing more options to suit each tactical situation, from standard communiqué to surveillance scenarios. In addition to the QD feature, the receiver built in to the adapter enables you to activate the push-to-talk (PTT) function of your two-way radio wirelessly. Plus, the adapter comes with a small wireless button-style PTT transmitter, which can be held in your hand or fastened to your clothing or duty gear using the Velcro fastener. The wireless PTT switches make communicating in the field both safer and more convenient.
Pryme’s wireless PTT is totally innovative. The auxiliary PTT switch on the adapter and the separate PTT button give you the ability to use your radio wirelessly. When using the wireless PTT, audio is picked up by the microphone in the attached Quick Disconnect accessory.
