The TRU Xtreme: MOLLE Xtreme Tactical Response Uniform from TRU-SPEC is based on the Army Combat Uniform (ACU) with improvements geared for tactical teams and combat troops in the field. TRU-SPEC took feedback from soldiers on the drawbacks of the ACU and sought to improve them. Common stress points like elbow and shirt pockets are reinforced with extra stitching and bartacks. Hook-and-loop fabric that also sees heavy use has extra stitching as well. SuperFabric external elbow and knee pockets are secured with hook-and-loop closures and makes the addition of elbow pads and knee pads quick and easy. Additional features that are an improvement over the traditional ACU include 50/50 Nylon/Cotton Ripstop fabric, No Melt, No Drip Flame Protection, articulated elbows and knees and slanted, bellowed chest pockets with inverted pleat hook-and-loop closures.
Although all are improvements over the standard ACU, the standout feature of the TRU Xtreme: MOLLE Xtreme Tactical Response Uniform is the addition of Mil-Spec MOLLE webbing over the entire uniform. This simple but revolutionary concept has resulted in the most customizable, operator-friendly uniform ever created. The Xtreme MOLLE webbing allows the operator to add pouches, gear and accessories where they need it. Bulky vests, harness systems and backpacks are now things of the past.
