These Wiley X Eyewear's two tactical eyewear systems combine the company’s ballistic protection with advanced light adjusting lenses designed to rapidly respond to changes in ambient light. With these models — the Wiley X SG-1 and Wiley X XL-1 — tactical field operators can perform with full confidence that their eyes are protected and their vision will stay eagle-sharp under changing conditions. Both systems are U.S. Mil-PRF-31013 VO Ballistic Impact certified and meet stringent ANSI Z87.1-2003 High Velocity Impact safety and optical standards. Both feature matte black frames made of heat resistant material designed to protect eyes from wind, sun, glare and fragmentation. The two systems are designed to easily convert from ballistic eyewear to tactical goggle and are NVG (Night Vision Goggle) compatible. The Wiley X SG-1 (Model 71) is Authorized Protective Eyewear List (APEL) approved with advanced Light Adjusting lenses. These advanced 8-base Selenite polycarbonate lenses provide 100 percent UVA/UVB protection and distortion free clarity. Both also feature Wiley X’s T-Shell and Foil lens coatings for anti-scratch and anti-fog protection in extreme environments. In addition to Light Adjusting lenses, both the Wiley X SG-1 and XL-1 are offered with changeable smoke/clear lenses, light rust lenses and polarized lens options.
