Kenwood announces immediate availability of lithium polymer batteries, which are extremely light weight and high duty cycle, rated at 3300 mAh for the KNB-43L pack and a new non-rechargeable primary lithium pack, the KNB-49PL, rated at 4500 mAh, with a 10-year shelf life. The lithium polymer battery weighs 180g (6.34 oz) and is compatible with the KSC-32 charger or the KSC-326K gang charger, and is a 7.2 VDC battery. The primary lithium pack is a 9.0VDC battery with a 20-hour life cycle and is ideal as backup power for portables when charging is not available, and in emergency situations.
